At TechyTots we offer a Creative Coding day.

A Creative coding day is where we visit the school for the whole day and work with a number of different classes.

Children work with different activities, to help develop, Coding, Mathematics, Literacy, Communication, Creativity, Critical Thinking, Team Work, and Problem Solving skills.  Working with Robots which are designed to teach children coding skills, all children have the chance to see the equipment we use and have time playing with the robots to begin their coding journey.

At TechyTots we believe our hands-on class using our robots will help to enhance and enrich any computing learning currently taking place.

We are able to incorporate termly topics into our classes, and work with the school to meet learning goals.

We have options available for a once per year coding enrichment day or we can come in and run a termly coding day to offer continual Coding curriculum development.

Review Ewell Grove Coding day’s March 19

We booked a TechyTots workshop for our EYFS and KS1 classes to give them an opportunity to explore a wide range of programmable robots. Julie arrived early to set up and brought with her an exciting selection of gadgets, most of which the children and staff had never seen before! The workshop was well led by Julie who introduced the children to each robot and carefully explained how they worked, followed by lots of hands-on coding experience for the children. The staff and children came away excited and motivated by the experience. It also gave us, as a school, some ideas about the types and kinds of computing equipment we could invest in. We were so pleased with the workshop that we are hoping to host a TechyTots club.

Thank you.
